Music for People
Music for People is a nonprofit organization that promotes
self-expression through music and improvisation. Gathering momentum from
the more than 20 years of workshop and concert experience of cellist and
teacher David Darling, MfP was founded in 1988 by
David
Darling and Bonnie Insull. Based on the principle that music
is a natural creative expression available to everyone, this right to
creative expression is expressed in our Bill of Musical Rights.
Music for People acts as a catalyst in gathering people together to play
and sing by creating safe environments in which they can explore music.
MfP offers
workshops
for both beginners and advanced improvisation students throughout the
year at a wide variety of locations, many of them in beautiful natural
settings that serve to enhance the workshop experience.
David Darling teaches at most of the Music for People events.
